Garden in early May 2002

I picked this one 5/7.  Most of the tomatoes are cherry tomatoes.  We are going to have a lot of them.

I think Carolyn planted teh whole package of cucumbers.  And, I'm not sure what.else

Here's the new ham antennae.  18' feet tall when erected.

I was concerned about the bow in the antennae, so I added a third support for the end.  When I raised the end then the high point in the middle, which is between support 1 and 2 went down and it is now straight.

The antennae will bolt onto the vertical piece on this base which will be placed behind the master bedroom.  The base is supposed to give a pretty good ground due to having a lot of contact with the ground.  The picture at right shows the top of the tower which I can attach a ham stick to or another antennae with that kind of base.  This would apply to the antennas Charlie is using.  On the corner of the base is are wing nuts to connect radials, if needed.  The vertical tower is drilled for a number of antennas, one of which is mine.  So, I can simply connect it with four bolts.  For the meanwhile, I've got 100' of coax that I'll run down the side of the house and through the window to test the antennae.

Garage   (Self-explanatory)
